Task 3 : Building puppets with students for a specific purpose
There are so many ideas for making a puppet in the video! Love it!
I have often been using stick puppets. They are easy to make and kids love them.
I would like to share with you my activities when teaching " Hey diddle diddle" song with my kindergarten students. It is a funny song and in the song ate mentioned a cat and the fiddle, a cow, a moon, little dog, a dish and a spoon. They can all be made puppets but for the first class I choose the funniest part of the song " the cow jumped over the moon " . First I introduce them with the puppets, then I tell them the song like a story using the puppets. They especially like the part when the cow jumps over the moon and when the dish runs away with the spoon :))))))
I play the song while making the cow and moon puppets. They are easy to make and after we are done with them we sing, using the puppets.
The next class, we make the rest of the puppets and we act the song, we sing it, we speak to the puppets, the puppets speak to each other, we change the roles, " and the moon jumped over the cow ( kids enjoy when changing the roles, it's such a fun ).

Here is the song:

Hey diddle diddle the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
