WEEK TWO

WEEK TWO
TASK #1: A everyday object for me are these letters. i use it all the time for vocabulary, games etc. In this class I did 4 teams of 3. I gave the cards and asked them to make words related to music in two minutes. There are a lot of ways to use this letter.

TASK #2: This is a picture i took last year. They were my first students. After 2 years of teaching them, they graduated. One of them told that thanks to me he has good grade in English class in his new school. I consider this effective learning not just for what they learned but also because they taugh me to be apreciate my job as a teacher. The last picture it was from today and also is effective learning because we have fun a learned about bridges.

  1. Abigail,

Letters can be used in so many different ways! I love letting them come up with their ideas in the activities.

It is very interesting to see the Mexican culture in the picture with the four students standing. Did they design the holed sheets of paper that are displayed?

I like very much the idea of empowering learners to talk about their own culture. Many times the American and British cultures are the focus of textbooks, which is fine. But I would start by giving them the words to explain who they are and what they do. This language will be certainly very useful when they will go abroad and will be asked to share their culture.

    Loved the skulls!
