Task1 : creating an activity using an everyday object.

Task1 : creating an activity using an everyday object.
Well, I have been trying for 2days now to upload my assignment but there seems to be a problem. I hope this trial will be successful.
The activity depends on using some strings.
Goal: students practice the language of giving directions and following them through a Total Physical Response manner.
Instructions:
After explaining the language ( walk ahead - turn right/ left ...etc) the class is divided into two groups. Group A sends 1 of his members outside the class. Group B is given a number of strings to make his own Streetsite plan ( just like the mini plan in the picture). After they finish, the member of team A is called back inside the class but blind folded. His team should give him instructions to walk onto the streets without having an accident (e.g. go forward. Stop. Now turn right.) If he manages to finish without stepping over the strings or hiring any object in the class, his team takes 1 point. After that they exchange roles with team A making the streets plan and team B gives direction to the blindfolded member.

  1. Wow, Maha, this seems so much fun! I've already tried something similar but using chairs as walls. Thanks for your contribution! :)

  2. Maha,
There is creation and trust in this activity and both bring lots of emotion. I am certain that students were very engaged here.
Amazing all the things we can do with a roll of string!
