Task #3

Task #3
I chose a paper bag puppet.
We were learning about life cycles of different animals and this day we built a frog puppet because we were learning about the life cycle of frogs.
I explained to them the life cycle of frogs with the puppet and then, they explained to me.
They worked as a group talking about the topic between them and with the teacher too.
I love that they make funny voices, sometimes is difficult to understand because of that.
Oh, they are so, so sweet!!! ♡
ReplyDeleteThey are! Thanks Renata :)
ReplyDeleteCute!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Raquel!
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice to see your students with the puppets they have built.
You are right when you say that sometimes it is difficult to understand what they are saying either because they are using the puppet's voice to because they speak in a very low volume. Thinking about that it is interesting to show students some puppeteering skills for them to feel more comfortable and creative when manipulating their own puppets.
When exploring the life cycles of the animals we could have the puppet explaining and then saying what they think about that animal. In this way you can explore the target language and also leave some open space for them to express themselves through the puppet.
Make sure you keep the puppets at school so then you can use them again and again!
