DISCUSSION TASK 3
When I started learning English, I was a very insecure student. I was afraid of asking questions, taking risks because I thought exposure would harm somehow. I don`t know how it would affect me, but I had always felt I would be the nagging student in the class. However, everything changed. Someone who sees your true colors and invest time in you, knowing that this investment will pay off one day. My first EFL teacher invested in me. Hey Danilo!
ReplyDeleteThe words that called my attention when reading your lines were mindset, believing, and true colours. There is so much emotion and beauty in these concepts and how they influence one's learning. That's why I believe it is so important for us to listen to students talking about their experience learning English.
Saying that a teacher changes the life trajectory of students is a cliche that we listen over and over. But it is very true, specially when we have the intention and the availability of being present, listening, sharing, and most importantly, believing.
I am very happy you have met this great teacher in your path, Danilo. I am certain you have become a lot like her as well. Isn't that simply beautiful?
