Hi!

Hi! Hope all of you are having a great week! I am going to start with Task #3. The video is about circle time. Before Sunday's session I had not heard of circle time, and I did not know the benefits of it. It intrigued me since Sunday which is why I chose to do this task first.
Regarding the two questions,
-What are the benefits of having circle time with English language learners?
R/I believe circle time will allow them to have a safe place to express themselves. Not only will in foster public speaking, but it will also develop team work which in my particular case seems to be necessary. My students only meet on Saturdays and some of them do not feel entirely comfortable speaking and expressing their ideas. It will also help with the class mood and to show students how important they are. I liked the idea someone mentioned on Sunday about starting with positive thoughts. I believe this will truly help students who feel rejected or left out because they are different.
I am looking forward to this Saturday's class since I am already planning on putting several of the suggestions into practice.

-What challenges may arise when having circle time?
R/I have certain kids that like to be the center of attention, and I am not sure how to go about limiting them. Additionally, I have some kids that may not want to participate at all. Lastly, since I have true beginners, I believe it will be very very difficult to have circle time in English. My students do not have yet the knowledge to express their ideas clearly in English; however, it does make me excited to have a time when they can communicate freely.

If you have any suggestions, let me know. :)
